About Me
I am a Senior Biological Sciences Major at the University of Delaware, working as a scientist at Frontage Laboratories in Exton, PA finishing out the last few prerequisites in my academic career. My course of study of Biological Sciences is considered very broad, however my work at the company has helped me narrow down my specific goals and what aspect of Biology I want to work with in the future. Currently I work in Immunology as my specific work of choice at the company. I have no previous background in photography, however I want to explore more creative aspects in design and in art which my major and most of my STEM academic studies fail or minimally explore.
Class Goals
One of my main goals for this course is to become more creative and learn to look at the world from a different perspective. Through photography, I hope to challenge myself to think more artistically instead of a more rigid way of thinking expected as a scientist. I also want to learn how to take better-quality photographs and use editing software to improve and enhance my images to take better pictures for my girlfriend. Another goal is to develop a stronger understanding of composition and visual storytelling so I can communicate ideas and emotions through photography. Overall, I hope this course helps me become more creative, think outside the box, and gain a greater appreciation for art and self-expression.
